About FarmHer

Women have always been an important but mostly unseen aspect of agriculture.  In recent years, women are rising to the forefront of agriculture in so many ways; as owner/operators, landowners, workers, mentors and much more.

FarmHer was founded in 2013 to begin to change the image of agriculture - to include women in that image through photographs and stories.  It quickly became clear that women in agriculture not only appreciated FarmHer, but they needed it.  And they asked for more.  Today, FarmHer has grown into not just a gallery of images that are changing the way people perceive a farmer, but has expanded across the United States while shining a light on women in agriculture.

Today FarmHer is an online community, connecting women together. It is a series of events to create community amongst women. It is a line of stylish clothing that women can wear with pride to show who they are and what they love and finally, it is shining a light on women through their stories in the FarmHer TV show. FarmHer consists of a team of ladies who connect with women by selling products through the FarmHer market, speaking at various events, and capturing working women through the TV show. Meet the FarmHer team, dedicated to including women in the image of agriculture.

Marji Guyler-Alaniz; Founder + President

Marji Guyler-Alaniz is the Founder and President of FarmHer, and the woman behind the camera. After working in corporate agriculture for eleven years, she started FarmHer in 2013 to begin to shine a light on women in agriculture through photography. When she is not answering phone calls, at a photoshoot, or managing all aspects of FarmHer, she can be found in her home state of Iowa, spending time with her two beautiful children, Ava and AJ, and her husband Tony.

Carly Cummings; Events + Merchandise Manager

As a small town FarmHer herself, Carly Cummings was excited to join the team as the Events and Merchandise Manager in summer 2016. Her love for agriculture, coupled with her desire to empower women to share their stories and follow their dreams, drew her to FarmHer. Carly will be traveling to events around the country, promoting the importance of FarmHer and helping you look your best while sporting merchandise that speaks of your passion. She hopes to see you at our next event!
