Five Marys Ranch
Mary Heffernan and her husband Brian run Five Marys Ranch in Northern California, where they raise Black Angus cattle, Heritage Berkshire hogs, and Navajo Churro lambs. They both come from families with deep roots in California agriculture and share a passion for traditional farming methods.
The Heffernans’ approach to ranching focuses on sustainable and ethical practices. Their animals are never treated with hormones or antibiotics and are raised on GMO-free and organically-minded principles. This dedication ensures the superior quality of their products, which are dry-aged for 21-28 days to enhance tenderness and flavor. Customers can taste the difference in the beef, pork, and lamb they offer.
M5 Entrepreneurs Academy: No Gatekeeping Allowed
Thankfully, the steps they took toward success are not shrouded in secrecy. In addition to their ranching operation, Mary and Brian have expanded their entrepreneurial spirit through the M5 Entrepreneurs Academy.
This initiative gives aspiring entrepreneurs the tools and knowledge to start and grow their ventures. The academy offers over 40 workshops covering various topics essential for small business success, all accessible online with lifetime access.
But since there are FIVE Marys, all at different ages and stages of life, Mary and Brian got to work on another line of agriculture curriculum just for kids. M5 Ranch School is designed to teach future FarmHERs and RanchHERs about growing food, raising animals, and more!
