Oklahoma RanchHER Martha Armitage and her husband, Mike, have been known as a top-notch ranching family in the state since the 1980s. Today that legacy includes their sons, Turner and Merrit, and their wives, Sarah and Michelle. Their family enterprise, A-Bar Ranch is a multi-faceted cow-calf operation, livestock market, performance horse facility, and agritourism leader in Claremore, Okla.
Following Mike’s passing in 2020, Martha admirably persevered, maintaining her family’s thriving business with invaluable support from daughter-in-law Sarah.
Tried-and-true horsewomen, Martha and Sarah Armitage continue to uphold their family’s operation and reputations as RanchHERs through their passion and sharp eye for quality horses.
In this new episode of RanchHER, viewers join Martha and Sarah, recipients of the prestigious “Best of the Remuda Award,” a renowned honor given for the contributions that ranch horses have made to the heritage of the American Quarter Horse, at their annual horse sale.
