From avocados and finger limes, to sweet baby broccoli, wine, and almonds, the travel to California to film new episodes of FarmHer kept our stomachs full and hearts happy! And we met fantastic FarmHers at every stop. Here is an inside look at our latest travel.
Megan Shanley Warren- Shanley Farms
Shanley Farms is a California-based fruit company built by father and daughter team Jim Shanley and Megan Shanley Warren. With the shared excitement of being food lovers and culinary adventurers, they produce unique products like finger limes and avocados. Sadly, Jim recently passed away. So FarmHer Megan is taking on the farm with her husband. And navigating this new way of farming without her dad.
Kate Hitchcock – American Farms
Kate grew up on a farm and is the fifth generation of her family to call Salinas, California, home. Growing up, she remembers picking produce right out of the field and consuming it at night for dinner. She graduated with a degree in finance from Santa Clara University, and worked in sales at Earthbound Farm for several years before returning to her roots. Now, she is a FarmHer producing sweet baby broccoli and still eating food straight from the field.
Stasi Seay and Samantha Taylor- Hope Family Wines
In 2019, Paso Robles producer, Hope Family Wines, appointed FarmHer Stasi Seay to Director of Vineyards. She now leads the company’s grower relations, controls the company’s grape acquisitions and maintains quality for the entire Hope Family Wines portfolio.
