Charity Staeffler & Sarah Kropf – RanchHER Season 2, Ep. 1

Oregon RanchHERs Scale Mountains to Move Cattle

Navigating Oregon’s Blue Mountains

Meet Oregon RanchHERs Charity Staeffler & Sarah Kropf. They are fearless female ranchers, lifelong neighbors, and best of friends, who work together ranching the challenging terrain of the Oregon High Country and continuing their family’s legacy as fifth-generation cattle producers.

After settling in America from Germany in the 1800s, their families grazed cattle across thousands of acres in the Blue Mountains with a federal land permit. Each fall, just like their ancestors, these hard-working ladies spend weeks camping in isolation on the timbered slopes and grass ridges of Oregon’s wild country, gathering scattered herds to move home for winter.

  1. I love Farmhers and Ranchhers.
Actually I love everything about RFD-TV, Rural Heritage, TCR, all the shows like Nebraska Postcards,California Bountiful, Where the food comes from.
All of the country music shows Larry,s Diner, Perleys Place, Dailey and Vincent, friday and Saturday night lineups.

    1. Thanks, Lorena! We are really proud to be among that group of shows! RFD-TV definitely carries a dynamic lineup of ag programming that you can’t find anywhere else! We love it, too!

  2. Ranchher came on May 1 and I was pretty sure I recognized the country as Eastern Oregon…..looked it up online on the episode or the series and it was about Sarah and Charity who work cattle together as neighbors. Since I live in the blues of eastern Oregon, it was very interesting.
