In this episode, viewers will join Martha and Sarah Armitage, recipients of the prestigious “Best of the Remuda Award,” a renowned honor given for the contributions that ranch horses have made to the heritage of the American Quarter Horse, at their annual horse sale.
Since the 1980s, Martha Armitage and her husband Mike have been well-known in Oklahoma as a leading ranching family. Today, their legacy extends to include sons Turner and Merrit, along with their wives Sarah and Michelle. Their ranch stands as an all-around enterprise, encompassing cow-calf operations, a livestock market, a performance horse facility, and an agritourism destination. Following Mike’s passing in 2020, Martha has admirably persevered, keeping the business thriving with invaluable support from daughter-in-law Sarah.
Tried-and-true horsewomen, Martha and Sarah Armitage uphold the reputation of RanchHER with a passion for family and a sharp eye for quality horses.
Hosted by the dynamic Janie Johnson, RanchHER focuses on incredible women, like Martha and Sarah who significantly contribute to the ranching and livestock industry.
